Findings on Soil Macrofauna
A total of 150 species were discovered in this study. Diplopoda (Millipede) accounted for 15.3%. It was followed by Oligochaeta (Earthworm), with 15 species which accounted for 10.0%. Araneae and Chilopoda are group with third largest number of species.

Findings on Diplopoda Species Distribution
The millipede species we discovered consisted of 7 orders. Over 40% (10 species) are Polydesmida. Spirobolida, the second largest group with 4 species, is 16.7%. The third largest group is Julida.

Findings on Diplopoda Distribution
22 millipede species were discovered in New Territories and Kowloon. 14 and 12 millipede species were found in Hong Kong Island and Islands respectively.
Besides, these three areas shared 10 millipede species. 7 millipede species were only found in New Territories and Kowloon. 1 millipede species, Sphaerotheriida, was found in Hong Kong Island.
