Zizeeria maha 酢漿灰蝶

Introduction
Pale Grass Blue is a common butterfly speice in HK, which usually flies close to the ground. It is a small butterfly specie with the wingspan range from 25-30mm, can be found all year round in HK.

Apperance
Ventral surface of Pale Grass Blue’s wing is grey-brown with multiple black spots. The upperside wings of male butterflies are light blue while females are dark grey.

Behaviour
Caterpillars of Zizeeria maha host Oxalis corniculata. Adults enjoy visiting flowers.
