The butterflies in Lycaenidae family are commonly known as the blush or copper butterflies. They are generally small, with wingspan from 20-50mm. The wings of Lycarnidar are mainly grey, with metallic blue or purple colour on the upperside. Hindwings of them usually have eyespots or short wing tails. Most of butterflies of Lycaenidae have black and white stripped hammer-like antenna with swollen end. Most of the caterpillars perform symbiosis with ants.
