Celastrina lavendularis
薰衣琉璃灰蝶

Introduction
Plain Hedge Blue is a small butterfly which usually be found from April to October in HK, with the wingspan around 30mm.

Apperance
The stripes in forewing of the butterfly is not align, spots in the wings are different in shades. There is a sexual dimorphism in this species, females show wider black margin on the upperside wings, while males wings are dark blue dorsally, with a fine black margin on the margin of the wings.

Behavior
The local host plant of Celastrina lavendularis has not been record.
